The case for markdown

Afternoon breakout session.

Problem: Goal is to have a majority of folks writing articles in markdown. So we have to be solving a problem they have. How to get publishers to require it.

• Publishers could incentivize writing in markdown by offering financial incentives like lower APC.

• Need a nice WYSIWYG editor to win over the massses. What are we offering that's better than Microsoft Word.
